Thai Orchid’s multi-faceted building offers a versatile drinking and dining space in one of the best positions in Maidstone, right on the river front with drinking and dining over two floors and a waterfront terrace and gardens.
The upper floor authentic Thai restaurant offers freshly prepared dishes with Thai herbs and spices that makes a delicious Thai dining experience while enjoying a panoramic view of the busy river.
The lovely waterfront terrace is ideal for private events, particularly weddings as Archbishop’s Palace is just across the river, and we cater for English and Thai food, and can provide marquees.
All of this at a beautiful location in central Maidstone right on the riverfront with panoramic views!
WATERFRONT CAFE-BAR
Open daily from midday (except Tuesday), the Waterfront Cafe-Bar is the riverside location in Maidstone town centre.
We have a range of draft beers and cider, including Peroni, Guinness, San Miguel, Asahi, and our Thai speciality, Singha beer. There is a great selection of wines and spirits, including gin from The Maidstone Distillery.
Why not pop in for a tea or coffee? From a flat white to a latte, your favourite hot drink will be freshly prepared. Looking to treat someone? Enjoy afternoon tea or a cream tea overlooking the historic riverside.
The café menu includes burgers, pizzas and sandwiches - there's something for everyone.
We cater for all tastes
There is a wide range of curries and sizzling pan-fried dishes, or try the Thai salad “Yum Yum” for something a bit different, or the popular Thai Green, Red and Yellow curries.
There’s a large range of vegetarian dishes with most of the dishes being easily adapted to food intolerances and preferences.
You can also specify your level of spiciness but there are plenty of dishes with no chillis so you don’t have to be frightened to TRY THAI!
